Nowadays it would probably break because graphics cards have gotten so enormous, also a large CPU heatsink could come off and damage the CPU.

I did a similar thing with an HAF 932 case. Dropped it down the stairs for an apartment building. Watercooling, probably saved my GPU from snapping only thing was the steel frame was shifted (Or as I like to say 'the crumple zones worked'). I still have the case up and running years later. The paint didn't even scratch...

Should throw some sealant on there, though.

Depends on if there's a door or window open. Dreamhack can get pretty freaking cold during winter, for example.
