Where did you get the glass/plexiglass? I have a 500r too and have wanted to do this for a while. You did a great job on it.
I got the plexiglass from home depot for about $5.00 and cut it myself with a rotary tool.
You may want to get blue leds instead. I hear those red ones just heat it up too much.
But red looks so cool...
They do give you a performance gain, so I guess the extra heat is worth it. You could try out greens if you want your PC to be more efficient. But never, and I say never, use black LEDs.
I was thinking of using white LED's but never used them. I didn't know depending of the color would give more heat with LED's...
Nice! put the monitors together!!
I did at 1st but i didn't care for the surround view on games so I just use the one in the middle.
I have the same case. I might have to try this...did you cut the prongs that secure the mesh in off and how did you secure the glass?
I left the bracket that secured the mesh onto the case and cut the plexiglass to the size of the opening and stuck it on the brackets with double sided tape and used black electrical tape around the edges.
I've been thinking about getting this case, any comments? Would you recommend it? Anything that bothers you? Very nice work :)
I used to have it. Great case. Easy to work in, looks great, awesome airflow. I sold it because I moved my gaming PC to the living room and downsized to a mini ITX setup.
I love the case, the reason I got it in the 1st place was because it was the only case I could find that fit my Corsair H100. The stock fans that come with the case are garbage and would recommend changing them. There is a lot of room for everything and has good space for wire management behind the motherboard. I would totally recommend it.
Did you follow a guide for doing the window?
Nope, just eyeballed it lol
What keyboard is that? looks like a k90 but I thought k90's only had blue lights underneath, or did you change out the lights?
It's a K70. Awesome keyboard,especially the cherry blues
It is the Corsair K70. Awesome keyboard, I use to have the Razor Black Widow but I didn't like the finish, it was a fingerprint magnet and the key clicking with the mechanical keys were a little to loud.
