2007FP Monitors - Computer Setup

Comments

I really need to get me some £10 monitors
Smaller monitors are dirt cheap if you look on gumtree or ebay although most require pickup. I got 3 for free so I'm running 3840x1024 with 'em.
Noice, I don't have a car and carrying 3 monitors on the bus seems like a bad idea
Oh God the Sky router
It is really bad, only does 10/100 on the ethernet ports too :(
You just got basic adsl?
Whattttt? Buy a netgear router they usually do great (worked great for me and other people I know).
What desk is that? Nice set up btw!
That subwoofer placement LOL. Does it ever shake your whole desk or move out of place
It's actually been great in that position, it was sitting awkwardly behind a monitor before so the sound is much better now.
CM storm of some type
Dude I feel for you having to use sky broadband
It's actually been great for me! Consistent speed, zero downtime and only costs £10/month.
I don't know why, but I really like this one! But I hate the DELL-Logo is on both portrait-screens on the left side: the one on the left should be on the right! :D
Haha, that really got me annoyed too, but sadly the 1708FPs can only rotate one way.
You should be able to unscrew the metal mounting plate on the stands and flip it around. I have a couple 2007FP monitors that seem to use the same stand and everything is held on with screws with a nut in the center.
Thank you so much! Was able to do that really easily, my OCD has calmed down now :D
Which case do you use for the Nexus 5 I like it a lot
Any time I see Elementary OS on this coolcomputersetups it makes me happy! awesome set up
What theme you using with elementary? Looks clean and easy!
Where do you get a desk like that? I like the tiered look.
Links to £10 1708FP's? Looking for a pair myself.
Just scoured ebay for a week or so, a couple turned up from a new seller and I took a chance on them!
I gave links to the desk in another comment.
Thanks. You combined different parts?
Yeah, the shelf is just sitting on top of the desk.
The placement of that sub really bothers me. Not only as far as positioning from an audio standpoint, but from a symmetry standpoint.
What case are you using for the Nexus 5?
Was thinking about having it as a little webserver too, what sort of software are you running on it?
Raspian, using Apache to host the site. Very easy to set up, there's loads and loads of tutorials online. I'm actually gonna be setting it up as a mailserver as well tomorrow.
Some motherboards have power going to the USBs even when the PC is off.
Huh, must be a small number of them. I've had 3 different builds set up, and none of them did that...
My Asus boards and my last few laptops did it, it's usually a setting for USB charging.
Looks great (: how's that mic?
I have the same one and love it. I used it a lot for fleet chat in Eve.
Great set up! What size monitors are those?
