Great idea on the Skyrim map. But yeezus how much money do you have?
I had a job working 30-35 hours a week when I was doing homeschooling. Had no bills. Bought stuff. Not rich or anything :P
Who did you work for? Best Buy?
Retail job in the mall :P
Why on earth do you have so many peripherals...actually, why do you have so much stuff?? I don't see any point in having 6 headsets, two laptops on top of your triple monitor setup, an iPad, and that big 'ol TV with it's own dedicated PC - is there really any justification for that many screens? With the massive amounts of tech in that room, there is almost no reason to leave, and that makes me sad. I'm well in the minority here, but I don't enjoy this gaudy setup at all. I'm sorry, OP - I'm glad you're doing what makes you happy, and I wish you all the best.
I'm a tech. I like knowing what it's like to use certain devices. Like I stated before, I go through headphones like no other because of the way I treat them. My philosophy is if I need it I'll have it. I use everything I have though. Yes, there is justification for that many screens actually. Have you ever played Battlefield on 5760x1080? It's epic. The TV is for Netflix and my PS3/Xbox. iPad was a gift, but I use it nonetheless. Macbook is for learning OSx, Alienware is my gaming on the go machine. There really isn't a reason to leave, but I do have studies and a job. I enjoy my epic hangout lair.
What makes your headphone use so extensive that you go through them so quickly?
Carelessly tossing them in my computer bag.
Impressed with your aesthetics and obvious love of tech, but I'm also confused about the plurality of headsets. Why would you need more than three?
Theres 2 Razer krakens because one is with a mic, one pair without. Amazon had a 2 for $75 or 1 for $60 deal goin on so I took advantage. Dunno. I like having multiples of things. You should see my flash drives, external HDD's, and mice. :
Then why on earth whould you buy 6 razer headsets? just buy one fucking good pair...
I have to commend the way you justify your setup, but only about 80 percent. I'm right there with you when it comes to making the easy decision of whether to purchase technology or superfluous stuff. Instead of the car I'll go for some converse to get me around and a water-cooled gaming rig every time. The only time I regret it is for the few seconds it takes to open an umbrella. It really isn't that hard to acquire so many gadgets and PCs when you focus your budget.
And this is the reason why the new Gaming setup Cave is getting built out in the back yard :)
It's a kind of loot envy and addiction that most people in this coolcomputersetups have a propensity to succumb to. It applies to me for more than just electronics unfortunately, but it's a satisfaction of possession rather than a need for function.
I am so happy I'm not the only one with the skyrim map on my wall.
I'm tempted to buy the Elder Scrolls Anthology and put them all on my wall...
So much negativity around. Your gaming setup looks great man. Wish to had that. How much did you pay for your speakers (both of them)?
Haters haha. Thanks! I paid $200. $100 each at Best Buy like 3 years ago.
Oh my god I want this station :P
Wow, your set up is what I want mine to look like some day. I love the Skyrim dragon statue btw.
Thanks :D Cost me a pretty penny lol I love it.
And the total cost is... more than I can afford. ever
I love your keyboard! I was considering buying it myself! Is it worth the money?
Very! I paid $100 for it. I love it, but just be careful because the keys are pretty close together. My previous keyboard, the keys were spaced out about 1/4th of an inch and these ones are practically cuddling to say the least, so it takes a while to adjust.
I prefer it that way, makes typing so much easier because my fingers just slide to the next key!
Ahh, then that'll be a great keyboard for you then!
I wish I was this rich!
And here I am, sitting here on my HP Pavilion G6 that can't really run much other than indie games or older games. I'm totally jealous of your amazing gaming setup, it's awesome!
How is the SteelSeries Apex?
I love it. Great keyboard. Different lighting zones/brightness levels. Lots of macro keys.
Is it mechanical? If so what kind of keys does it have?
Just wanted to let ya know that your gaming setup is by far my favorite that I've ever seen. I would give 80% of my organs for something like that. That is all.
Lol thanks man! You could probably afford it if you actually sold 80% of your organs on the blackmarket come to think of it...
80% seems a little high... Maybe if he just sold all the important stuff. Then again, what's more important than awesome stuff? Certainly not your health and well-being, that's for sure.
Thanks! I appreciate it :)
Give me one of your multiple headsets!! :DDD
Every headset but a good one though...
I don't have enough money to throw at the screen.
What console did you choose to buy GTA V for and why?
Amazing setup dude. well done.
Myphonehasmorecomputingpowerthanyourmacbookair
Most likely. I didn't buy it to be a supermachine. Thats what the Alienware is for. Macbook is for the sole purpose of portability and learning OSx
So your telling me frequency doesn't mean anything without specifying the architectire?
Just because its clocked at the same rate doesn't mean much. just like if you have an AMD CPU vs Intel both clocked at 3.6ghz, chances are the Intel is better.
But its not a core i5 :P
You have too much stuff.
There's no such thing as too much stuff.
Oh, fuck off. I love minimalism, but OP is nothing like a hoarder.
There's a difference between hoarding and not being into major simplicity.
It was definitely way too far to call you a hoarder. This gaming setup is a beast and you should be proud.
Right, and this is the former.
Really though, why the fuck do you need six terrible headsets, two laptops, an ipad, and three monitors all on one desk?
The headsets are actually quite good for the price unless you're one of those obnoxious audiophiles that spend $500+ on every pair of headphones they own on top of an amp. I have multiple headsets because why the fuck not? Two laptops, one was just for bookwork at the time. The Alienware is for mobile gaming. The 3 monitors is because I play BF3, GTA, Skyrim, and various other games in 5760x1080, or just to have different pages on different screens. The iPad was a graduation gift. The Macbook is so I can get familiar with iOS because I'm studying to become IT certified by CompTIA on top of it being nice to just throw in my backpack and go. Everything fits on my desk, why not have it there?
Not sure why you're explaining yourself to a troll :-/
I thought those died out. Lol
I am on your side in this argument, but those headsets are not good headphones for the price. For headsets, yeah they are fine, which is probably exactly what you wanted. But as headphones, you don't need to be an audiophile to not waste money.
Yep, hoarder confirmed. Pay more attention to quality and you won't need so much shit.
Define quality. I bet you're typing this on your Gateway with an Intel Pentium and Windows XP. Lets see your gaming setup mister high and mighty critic. ;)
This guy is just probably pissed. Don't mind him. Dope setup OP, game on! [waynes_world.mov]
