Do you have a link to that wallpaper?
How do you make the monitor switch to the Xbox when you turn on the controller?
I have an hdmi switcher. Best 30$ i've spent. When i turn the xbox on it just switches to its signal and then back off it goes to my pc.
Wow, didn't realize those could be had for so cheap! Thanks!
Really interested in this too
Posted it in response to the first guy
Yeah I'm gonna need that wallpaper and a link to this "switcher" you speak of. I could really use one of those if it performs alright.
wallpaper and i haven't noticed any lag while using the switcher and I mostly play shooters so i think if there is any it's very very small. Switcher There is a 5 port switcher too of the same brand.
Are those both PC monitors? I had no idea you could use a pc monitor for an xbox. Can someone please explain?
Both are ASUS 24' 1080p 2ms monitors. I have my xbox plugged in via HDMI and the pc is hdmi too. I can't remember the specific model number on them.
Is that standard for most monitors to have HDMI ins?
Not all do, but a lot of the ones around 200$ or more do have one. Mine were on sale for 180 a piece. Just check before you buy!
So whats the advantage of having a TV for console gaming or watching movies etc. over a pc monitor? I understand this is very general but I'm about to make multiple purchases and am trying to figure all this stuff out. So thanks for putting up with me
PC monitors have a lot less response lag and generally no speakers. Usually 1-5 ms. (Mine are 2) I don't know where TV's stand, but I want to say close to 10. For movies TVs have a better color range generally. If you play games like first person shooters seriously then go with a monitor, but if you're more casual and don't want to use it for your computer also then get a TV.
I've always noticed a huge difference in quality between TV's and monitors. Monitors always just look better, as far as I can tell.
I ave the same Astro headset. They are good but not worth the price.
For console gaming I like them, but for pc eh. The comfort is insane and that's what makes me love them
Honestly that's actually one of my few complaints about the A40s, they get too hot too fast. After a few hours I really need to take them off for a break or they're just unbearable. They're fine for a couple hours, but they would be way more comfortable if Astro used something like microfiber for the ear pads instead of the scratchy fabric I have on mine. They are the original A40s, so it's possible they've improved on that.
Yeah maybe it's because yours are older. You can buy an upgrade kit to replace the ear pieces for like 20$ i think. They don't get hot for me or i just don't think it's hot maybe
Is that the a50 or a40 you have? I've got the a50s and the mic and sound quality are great.
2011 wireless a40s. I should've gone wired because the mic quality is fine on Skype.
Why are your xbox analog sticks so tall? And how did you do/make it?
Kontrol freaks. They're a ten dollar attachment to make movements more precise.
That's a killer wallpaper. I don't think I can ever use it. Way to Bright for my tastes. I spend a lot of time on the computer and I am afraid of going blind.
How does the color tone of the wallpaper effect your eye sight? Playing in the dark hurts mine, but not a bright wallpaper.
