OH wow I feel bad I forgot to take a picture of my printer but it matches too! It's the Canon Pixma 6320 in White, but it's chilling downstairs while I'm chilling upstairs.
(ps I'm replying to this so that y'all can see it if y'all actually click the comments part and not the link)
What's the name of that keyboard?
It took me some googling to find it, since I inherited this one, but the Logitech K310.
How do you like it?
It's louder than I like, but I do like that I can eat while using it and not worry about getting crumbs into the keys and making them stick.
Well i guess that proves the hole "assuming makes an ASS out of U and ME" thing.
It's okay!! You're not an ass!! Plus it wouldn't make an ass out of me, just you. :P
A lot of people here tend to assume it's only guys that are into tech. Which is one of the dominant mindsets I noticed when I worked at Best Buy as well (but then when people actively avoided me and went to ask guys the questions, but the guys referred them to me I had to laugh).
It's even more confusing I guess, once you throw in my gender identity but whatever.
Well I am sorry for assuming good night
Thank you friend!!! Over 3000 dollars went into this so I would hope so!!
I also didn't showcase my Xbox, PS3, huge speakers for parties, and my bluetooth speakers since I don't keep them here but yeah I spend too much money on tech.
This is the most fabulously well-matching station I have ever seen.
Surprised you don't have a white iPhone instead.
Nah, I love Apple products, but when I was due for my upgrade I wasn't about to go for the iPhone 5 from the iPhone 4. The Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One were the top two phones on the market, and I really loved how the HTC One felt so it was way better than a white iPhone.
Besides, I can always get a white case for it. :P
I also went from iPhone 4S to the HTC One, don't miss iOS one bit :)
Need to Hackintosh! I've been wanting that case for so long.
I will after I buy another SSD so I can load that OS onto it instead of mucking everything up by putting them on the same one!
Really digging the whole setup. Would you mind sharing those two wallpapers?
What do you think of that monitor? I've been looking at the 23" but the stand seems wobbly. Super nice setup by the way.
I love this monitor. It's way better than the Samsung 27" one I saw, and the stand isn't that wobbly. A lot of Best Buy's still have their displays up for this particular monitor so feel free to check it out there.
Besides that, once I move into my apartment when classes start, I'll probably be wall mounting it. And maybe buying 2 more of these, otherwise selling it and going for 1440p displays instead.
Could you post the wallpaper please?
That trully is an amazing setup, but oh good lord jesus please adjust your screen. It looks awfully tilted on te first screenshot :(
Lmao it was tilted because I had just set it up and didn't realize the stand was sitting on a wire, but I fixed it as soon as I sat down to actually use it/play some games. Thanks for catching it though!!!
Is your Apple TV connected to the monitor, if it is, can you say how?
A Forest HDMI cable by Audioquest that's routed down with the Time Capsules wiring. I'd only recommend going with Audioquest cables if you're going to be using it to stream music because their sound quality is way better than standard HDMI cables.
Did you ask because not all monitors have HDMI ports?
Yes, that was the reason. I'm also thinking about doing that for my setup
Lmao thanks! It's kind of fake and plastic-y and gross looking though :S
They're too loud, and I don't get what the ghosting thing everyone complains about is. I never experience it?? Is it because I don't play MMOs or whatever?
Well, different types of switches will yield different levels sounds -- they go from super loud to relatively soft, its up to your preference. ghosting is nice, but its really all about the feel it can provide. you dont have to bottom out a key to get it to register, and there is a sharp, tactile response that you get when you type as opposed to the mushy feel from rubber domes in most keyboards. check out
Oh man that example looks so nice though. what is it?
Yeah, build quality is also an important factor. that is a filco majestouch-2 tenkeyless with blank white keycaps.
So I could get blank white keycaps for any mechanical keyboard so they don't look like stock Dell keyboards?
Well, it depends on the make/model, but most aftermarket keycap sets will fit the majority of models. i know filco/ducky boards will fit almost always. keycap quality determines the price. generally you'd want to go for PBT ones
How are you finding those speakers? I'm looking for some and those models have popped up a few times for fairly cheap.
I wish I could afford a $5000 pair but I'm aiming at about 1/10 of that haha
Lol, I feel that. Technology is so expensive!!!
Oh man I love it when I know what I'm talking about RE: Speaker and Headphones. For real, if you can, go to a high end audio store near you and try and listen to some speakers. Or if you have a Best Buy with a Magnolia store in it near you, then check that out too.
I really dig those BitFenix cases, but what sort of limitations does the small form factor put on your build?
I wouldn't call that case a small form factor case. More like something between small and medium! I didn't notice any limitations because it was my first build, but I'd like the motherboard to have had more slots for ram or PCI slots so I could actually SLI/Crossfire it'd be nice.
At any rate, I'm about to embark on watercooling after I get a new job/get settled in my apartment at college, and it looks more than roomy enough for that in there so I think there aren't any limitations to that case, compared to something like the Silverstone Ft03-Mini, which is what I had originally intended to buy.
Finally another person with the same monitor!
I know that feel, mate. I just painted my desk last week so it would match better with the rest of my setup.
