Gaming Setup - Computer Setup

Comments

You and me have the same case.
Just realised I didn't post the specs anywhere so here we go:
Thanks. For future reference, it's a bit easier to read if you use a PCPartpicker markup, there's a button on there to automatically format posts for Coolcomputersetups. I'll post my specs as an example.
Ahh, I had no idea how could post it like that
Yeah, it's also useful because it can detect most compatibility issues, though not all. I used it a ton before I pulled the trigger on mine.
I like it. I know I'm in the minority, but with a couple tweaks I highly prefer it over 7.
Download start8...orgasm...and windows 7 with speed, and additional functionality of win 8
Out of all the rigs on here this is my favourite, it looks modest and comfortable rather than very high tech and over the top, each to their own I guess
Isn't it, to each their own?
No idea, if you think you're right we'll go with that
Maybe the point of him saying "each to their own" is just proving the point, to each their own. :)
Welcome to the enforcer club!
Looks like that thing we be able to run WoW at max, lol
I have no idea what's wrong with any of that, and I only have one microphone ( my blue snowball) the thing on the right is a Razer mouse bungee
Getting judgy up in here...
First two rules of the coolcomputersetups, buddy.
Check out the rules on the right.
Really really nice setup. Don't really like the case but that's purely personal preference.
Then why say you don't like the case?
I don't know actually.
I have the case. I wish I had done a bit more research and gotten something with removable filters...I mean really, what's the point of a filter if I can't clean it?
Very good speakers as well :)
What brand are they? Can you give me a link?
I like what you've done with the place.
What is that little white ball thing?
It's a blue snowball mic
How much are thet um looking for a good mic
Having a few friends with that case the front fan is really loud and having a top exhaust fan will help with the dust and cooling.
Yeah I installed a fan control on the back so i could turn down the fans, and the top fan is next on my list :)
That's great then! Each time my friends and I have a LAN party it's like a airline runway from those cases.
Yeah for some reason they seem to run with the fans on at 100% all the time
I can't stand looking at rigs where the tower is placed in such a place where it can fall down so easily. Makes me nervous.
I get your point but I don't really have anywhere else to put it, it cant go on the floor as it has a PSU intake on the bottom
I have mine sitting on a shelf (on the floor) from IKEA, doesn't look too bad and matches my desk. I'm sure HomeDepot sells them as well if you aren't near a Swedish furniture store.
Thanks man I'll look into that
No worries man. other than that, it's a nice looking rig, I can't say much about the case as it's much better than my first gaming case. good luck with your gaming endeavors.
Awesome rig! How does it perform in games?
Thanks! Pretty well, it runs BF3 on ultra at between 30-50 frames, good enough for me at the moment
Congrats man! I hope it serves you well!
What do you mean exactly?
If only it wasn't on windows XP.....
What's that keyboard like? It's not backlit is it?
No it's just a standard keyboard with white edging around the keys. It's not bad though, its just to put me on until I can afford something more geared towards gaming
I wish we had that Mountain Dew flavor here.
You really don't, its terrible compared to the real thing, it just tastes watered down
That sucks well thanks anyway.
Nice! Get rid of the drinks though. You're scaring me!
I'm not a fan of pointless leds (if you sleep in the same room they're just annoying at night). It seems a waste to spend so much on a non-mechanical keyboard and the G400 would have been a better mouse to buy, though that hardly matters if you just play WoW. Overall, it's not too bad a job.
The keyboard was only £18, just got it to put me on until I can afford a mechanical one :)
What is the keyboard?
It's just a standard alienware branded one that they send when you buy a system from them. I found it on eBay for £18
Ah, I didn't realise it was that cheap.
Personally I love my G500. What do you think is better about the G400?
Optical sensor that doesn't have acceleration or angle-snapping. G500 has positive acceleration.
Both of which can be turned on and off in the driver...
No. The acceleration can't be turned off and isn't a part of the software acceleration. It comes from the sensor output before reaching the OS. The angle-snapping can be turned off.
Just done a bit of research and some testing. It seems the G500 does have a very small amount of positive acceleration. I don't think it's enough to really make a difference though.
I personally find the case repulsive, but otherwise nice setup.
The hell, then don't say you don't like his case..
Damn it, how come when i post my gaming setup that looks a lot better than this i get downvoted?
Presentation is key. Also people don't like Bose and with good reason... same reason people don't like Alienware.
I agree, my dad insisted on Bose, i was going to get the SP2500's.
