No they have a built in amp. just a standard 3.5mm into the back of the main pc.
Nice! I'll have to check those out.
They are brilliant for the price mate! they are very big though 55cm (21inches) high. So you will need a big desk to accommodate them.
I can always find room for good speakers!
Good to hear! They have a built in sub as well so the sound is amazing!
I have the exact same desk, haha, mine was £10 from a charity shop 3 years ago
It's an okay card. I've got it too, bro.
Sir, what's so modest about this then? ;)
Personally I don't think it's too over the top with flashy lights and a billion monitors:)
A gentleman's agreement here is to avoid downplaying your gaming setup.
New to computer setups so did not know sorry;)
Have some LED strips somewhere? Saw a remote, assuming it was for that.
Nice, could you link to that wallpaper?
Can someone explain to me what a NAS box is? cheers
Network attatched storage device. in this case running freenas which is a unix based distro.
Ermmm I understood the first sentence. The second on the other hand, not so much...
Basically a computer with a shitload of storage, which my computers and mobile devices can connect to over my home network.
Thank you for sinking to my level lol :)
Would you mind posting internal shots of that thing? I'd love to do an mATX build with that case in the future.
Yeah sure tomorrow, Its a real bitch to take the side panel off
(6 tiny little screws that I always lose in the carpet -_- )
Where did you get your desk? This is exactly what I've been looking for but I havent had any luck.
I got it from a place called officemax which is a New Zealand company it was an ex display room, the last one in the shop!
Of course . . .
sad face
I have the same kind of desk. Bought 8 years ago in a local furniture shop in Denmark.
Thanks for your kind words of condolences. But I'm in the U.S. and every manufacture and store thinks all desks should be glass or black. But I wanna conceal my dirty fingers prints, who has time to be cleaning desk tops?
Considered to DIY? doesn't look that complicated
You should invest a few bucks in a good computer chair, but besides that it looks great! I love the clean and organized look you have going on here.
That chair is the comfiest thing you will ever sit on;) I aint giving up that retro gem!
What is that nifty USB man thing?
Looks like a USB hub
Yeah, I got that much. I meant the specific model.
Nice speakers! Also, that is beast of setup for a dedicated NAS box, do you run anything else on it?
Just the raid array and a cifs/smb and NFS share for my windows and Linux machines I have FTP running on it also to backup my android devices:)
Why a low profile keyboard??
Nice and easy to touch type with:)
You and my mother are the only people who seem to believe that a low profile keyboard is best for touch typing, I can't stand them
Lol! I do like the clack of a mechanical keyboard, Just can't type as fast with them personally;)
I have actually had them at each corner of the desk, but it doesn't make much of a difference tbh, I never have it too loud sitting down either, because at that distance it could blow your eardrums out lol!
