I like that they matched, or is this custom paint?
Looks to me like he just drilled some holes in the CD cover blank.
That's exactly what I did.
Can you explain why you use a stock CPU fan?
I don't OC, so cooling isn't high on my priorities. I plan on getting a new cooler, maybe an H100, soon.
Would that fit in that case?
120mm dual rad can fit on top and in front if you remove hd bracket
You don't have to get a cooler for your CPU. the stock fan can even overclock safely to an extent. with the new haswell processor temps will also be going down, so even less need for an aftermarket CPU fan
But the cooler the better!
God I love the Prodigy case. Its such a gorgeous case...
+1 from me sir.
Let that psu breathe bro, you don't even see it. black button makes my cock twinge from asymmetry. otherwise sweeet
The fan blows air out the bottom, doesn't seem to be having any heating issues. The cable clutter behind those covers on the sides was killing me, had to hide it.
Orange is such an under rated color. Looks great.
What type of WD drives are those, and are they in raid( what kind)?
One is a Caviar Black and one is a Caviar Blue. I store movies on the Black and Games on the Blue. No RAID.
DA2013 has a lot of mouse smoothing that makes it quite laggy. I would recommend the DA black edition (with legacy drivers as Synapse fucks up CPI by interpolating off 3500 rather than the 1800 setting) or Zowie EC1 evo/EC2 evo.
How do those speakers sound? I was thinking about getting them myself
They sound really great, especially with the sub that's under the desk. I'm not sure if they're price-effective though, my brother gave them to me.
What's your opinion on the case itself? I'm looking at getting one for my first build as I want a gaming rig with some kind of portability. The case looks great, but how is it for building/performance/moving/etc?
I really really like the Prodigy. You do have to sacrifice some things like multiple expansion slots and SATA connectors, but that wasn't an issue for me. I was surprised when I started working with it and found that nearly every piece can come out, which allows for a lot of customization to fit your needs.
Excellent and useful response. Thanks very much. And fantastic gaming setup as well!
Mind me asking how much your PC cost all together? :)
My friend has a DeathAdder and recommended it. My brother has a Logitech G500, but I don't really like the feel of it, so I didn't go Logitech. I did a little bit of research, and Corsair mice didn't come up. That's how I ended up with the DeathAdder. It was expensive, but I'm pleased with it, works perfectly for my purposes.
I have the G500 and it's fantastic. My favourite mouse out of all time. 10 buttons, unlock able scroll wheel for super fast page scrolling, weight cartridge, and extremely ergonomic. Best mouse for $70. And it looks great too :)
I don't like the scroll wheel, even when locked it's too sensitive for me. That was one of the main reasons I didn't buy it.
While pretty much all the rest of Razer's stuff is Apple-esque inflated for aesthetics, the original Death Adder is a fairly solid mouse and can be frequently found on sale for less than $35-40. I recommend the Death Adder to pretty much everyone for being inexpensive and having all the basic features of a 'gaming' mouse.
You can actually set the buttons on the side to adjust the sensitivity, if you prefer that over macros.
I actually have the on-the-fly sensitivity change bound to the middle click + scroll. It's nice since you only have to devote one button to it as opposed to two.
You can bind both sensitivity and DPI adjustments to any button on the mouse from the configuration menu. I have a toggleable DPI profile just for TF2 sniping- on top of that, the drivers automatically switch between macro profiles depending on the game, so I also have separate DPI stages for PlanetSide 2
My €20 mouse has removable weights, sensitivity adjustment and four configurable buttons. Go me.
Sharkoon fire glider. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I've had it for about a year and a half now and its holding up very well.
It also has a laser sensor and acceleration. Neither is wanted.
I prefer the RAZER Naga, they have a better shape.
The razer deathadder is a legendary FPS mouse.
