I understand that The Hivemind dislikes many things (iOS/Apple being one of them; disclaimer, I dislike Apple myself), but WTF is up with people that downvote others for simply answering a bloody question? This site's users don't make any sense half the time.
Looks really cool man! I am just getting into coding. Learning HTML for practical reasons then learning JavaScript.
Python is also a great starting language. Lots of great guided tutorials online.
Html isn't actually a programming language. It's a markup scheme.
I like your wallpaper. And by that I mean your real wallpaper, but your desktop wallpaper is cool too haha. Looks great.
Yeah, care to share with us a link to it?
How about the other one?
Well both the screens are the same. Idk what the wall wallpaper is. Edit: I didn't notice the display on the wall. :-P
Reminds me of Chipotle.. mmmm
Yeah, I like how it helps hide the wires, even though they're right in front, I didn't see 'em.
Natural light. One of the most underrated aspects of a successful coding zone.
If I'm working during the daylight my blinds are angled upwards and it doesn't produce any glare. In this picture they were angled downwards to fill the room with enough light to take a decent shot.
For the love of all that is holy... swap the TV and the picture! What were you thinking!
It's actually easier on my eyes/neck to have it there than to have it above my monitors. When I'm working I use it as a placeholder for a music player and for finder windows, so I rarely look at it. It's also on a swing arm so if I'm on my couch I can move it closer and have it above the monitors so it's easier to see.
Now someone will say: "How do they sound?" and OP will say "Great!", because no one is never unhappy with buying studio monitors
Sorry, what I meant was, no one is never not unhappy unbuying non-studio monitors
Do you code in an Italian restaurant?
I laughed way too hard at this. I'd up-vote you twice if I could.
Beautiful! What music player program is that running on the TV? I'm looking for a good one (besides MediaMonkey, it's too buggy and weird for me)
Vox, I like it because it's got a simple UI and can play almost any audio file format.
Really sweet setup. I love the desk, do you happen to know where you got it?
How do you like the studio monitors? I'm looking around now and these are $100 less than the price of what I was looking at.
I really enjoy them. They impressed me for 5" monitors and produce a very flat range and can go pretty low. A lot of the times I can't tell if I have my subwoofer off or not.
My mothers 1980 dining room meets tech. I strangely like it.
Link me your isolation pads?
I have the exact same globe as you!
At least you got something to look up to, literally
I can't imagine mainly using a trackpad, but that's just me. Other than that you pretty much have the same setup as me :p
I hated trackpads until I got a MacBook Air, Apple really has a way with touch UIs.
I'm looking to replace it, but I don't know what to replace it with. I prefer it over the magic mouse because of the multi-touch gestures, but it's pretty cold to the touch so my right fingers get pretty cold sometimes.
I like the contrast between sophisticated decor and high-tech gear. Looks pretty nice.
I feel that the green takes from the atmosphere of this station (or, at least the lovely picture!), but I absolutely dig it otherwise. The wallpaper is amazing, and the desk just has a really homely, nice vibe to it. Love it man.
We have the same desktop background :D
Where can I buy that desk? Any links?
We got the desk in 1998 but I don't remember where we got it. I looked under the desk and the brand appears to be 'Florense' if that helps!
Thank you. I must say, it does look like a hell of a desk, and goes well with your wallpaper
Hey, I LOVE your physical Wallpaper. Where did you buy it? Do you have a name or anything? My boring white walls would need exactly this Wallpaper !
This is very soothing to look at
I love the Christian wallpaper on the bigger screen
My god, job well done!
How do you like that maacpro
I like it a lot! At first I didn't care about the form factor or size, but now I really appreciate how compact it is and how quiet it runs. It's a great workstation too, I often have multiple applications opened and I've never noticed it slow down on me.
After reading your comment I had to scan the picture for about a minute to actually find the computer hidden behind the monitors.
Way to follow 1:16. Have a good time coding!
Awesome setup! But unless you listen to music you should change the angle on your monitors, they've got a sweet spot and you're not in it. I think you'll notice a big difference.
Nice board of keys. What is it? It looks Razer.
Great-looking gaming setup. Best of the sub for the last week or so, IMO.
Can I have a link to your desktop wallpaper? Thanks.
I love the green back light in the keyboard!
Nice, clean setup. And dude, I love that wallpaper.
I have the mackie mr5 mkii. im assuming yours are the next model up because I do not have the green light?
Yeah, these are the MR5mk3. I never heard the mk2's but from the reviews I've read I hear that the mk3's are a significant improvement over the mk2's. I was able to get them from Guitar Center for $129 each, plus I liked how the light matched my keyboard :P
The mkiis are almost physically the same, can't really comment on their difference in sound.
Yeah I felt like I got a pretty good deal. I upgraded a pair of M-Audio AV40s that I've had for a few years, and for me it's a huge improvement! Well worth it in my opinion.
Awesome background on your TV, can you link me to it?
That's a Joshua Blankenship isn't it?
I did some googling and it look like it is by him.
Since you enjoy coding, why would you go with a Razer keyboard when there are much superior mechanical keyboards out there?
I browsed my local retailer's inventory and this was the only mechanical keyboard option available in my area. I rarely shop online because several retail stores are able to price match these days and it's a lot easier/faster to make an exchange or return at a store than it is to send an item back.
