Portrait Monitor - Computer Setup

Comments

Nicely done! What are you using the portrait monitor for? I tried something similar a while ago and none of my DAWs played well with a high-but-short workspace, so I had to revert it back to landscape. (Actually, the only layout that worked was putting all the plugins on the vertical monitor and the arrange window on the landscape one, but that caused nothing but headaches and neck pain for me).
I tried something similar in Reaper - fitting only about 5 mixer channels at the bottom, with plugins in the upper section. Never really worked well, had to keep scrolling the window all the time. Portrait orientation remains good idea for programming only, imo. DAWs are such landscape whores, most of them being based on the paradigm of actual hardware mixing consoles (which is funny, as I don't imagine most of today's young musicians have actually seen a real SSL in the wild).
Yes, I'll most likely try portrait for coding as well (only had them for two days). Either way, I won't be able to use 100% of both without physically moving my head, since they're over 54" wide in when both used in portrait.
I got steadily more excited as the pictures went on.
What tint varnish is that? Looks nice. Also, legs and brackets?
Amazing. As a fellow music lover and a gamer/Coolcomputersetupsor, this is close to what I would do with a sudden salary raise.
Ah one of the perks of living in typically old fashioned houses. Awkwardly angled and non practical corners/walls everywhere. Am I right?
