I hope the Viewsonics work out for you. They used to be the best in the day of the CRT. I bought and still have a larger 27" panel by them and it's not working out well. Three years in now and it's starting to go off-white. I have bad luck with monitors though.
Yeah I'm hoping their reputation for good CRTs means good LCDs too. I suppose time will tell...
I've got a ViewSonic LCD that I've had for a few years now. Looking to upgrade in due time but it's still going pretty good.
I always get confused when people have such an amazing setup with such a shitty keyboard.
I've had it for about 4 years now, got it cheap from a friend. It's served me well, but I'm definitely looking to upgrade to a mechanical in the near future.
Yeah I'm a little bit of a keyboard-nerd :)
Ooo, I love the rig you've got with the pedals, I've always had a problem with mine moving, might have a go with replicating the hooks that you've got.
It was really easy to make, took about half an hour as I had the timber on hand. With the stiffer brake pedal on the G25 it moves so easily without being bolted to something.
Do you have any tips for someone wanting to create a home server like yours? Never really thought about creating a home server for media and documents until now. Would love to get the house rewired so as to include network cabling. But that is way down the line.
Mine is nothing special - it just runs Windows XP SP3 and shares each attached drive and the printer, it's quite simple. The only special thing it does is on-button scanning into a network-shared folder, which is handled by the printer's software.
